“I can honestly say that Tony was the instrumental person in keeping me sober/clean my first couple months (the hardest). While my brain was still telling me that I was in withdrawal and needed drugs, I turned to Tony. I wasn’t quite sure if he was in recovery, I had an idea he might be. So I put myself out there to see if he had any advice. He gladly returned my messages immediately. If it hadn’t been for him telling me that I would be alright and that all these feelings would pass, I would still be using now. "Dealing with one’s issues head on is never an easy ordeal. I have been through everything from traditional therapy perched on a couch talking about problems that manifest themselves in my daily life–to inpatient programs where you tend to feel more like you’re there for a jail sentence than to get the help you desperately seek. To be honest, none of this really worked for me. It wasn’t until the first time I met Tony that I saw a glimmer of hope and began to realize that I do have a great deal of self worth.
